Sewing instructions:

1. Preparing The Collar:

Lay collar right sides together and sew together the two straight short ends. Press the seam open. 

Fold the collar piece in half lengthwise and press, the right side of the fabric is outside. 

2. Joining The Fronts To The Back:

Lay the back panel right side facing both front panel right sides. Pin and stitch both shoulder seams.

Neaten the seams. Press towards the back.

3. Joining The Collar:

Lay the robe’s right side together with the folded collars right side. Match the collar’s centre seam with the back panel’s neck centre. Pin the collar around the front opening. Stitch. Neaten the seam.

Press the seam towards the front and back panels.

4. Preparing The Sleeves:

Fold the cuff pieces in half lengthwise and press, the right side of the fabric is outside.

Lay the sleeve’s right side together with the folded cuff’s right side. Pin the cuff to the longest seam. Stitch. Neaten the seam.

Press the seam towards the front and back panels.

5. Joining The Sleeves:

Lay the body panels right side facing the sleeve’s right side. Match the sleeves centre line with the shoulder seam. Pin. Stitch. 

Neaten the seam.

Press the seam towards the body panel.

6. Side Seams:

Lay back and front side seams of the body panels and sleeve panel together with right sides facing. Pin. Stitch starting from the sleeve side seam lowest point to the body panel side seam end.

7. Hemming The Sleeve:

Press 1cm of the seam allowance. Turn to inside and pin. Topstitch the lower edge 3cm wide, catching hem.

8. Hem:

Do the same process for the bottom of the front and back body panels.

9. Belt:

Fold the belt piece in half lengthwise, right side facing in. Pin edges together and stitch, leave an opening for turning. Remember to backstitch to secure ends of stitching. Trim corners at an angle. Turn the belt, press edges. Sew up opening in seam by hand.

Give the final press and you’ve finished!
